Helen, The DNA test is for males. You would have to find a male in your family with the Cooper surname in order to participate. To the preson who said their mother was a cooper. You won't be able to use Y chromosome DNA testing if you Cooper ancestry is through your mother unless you know a brother of hers that carries the Cooper surname.
