    3. Thanks Kay for sharing your line. Here is my Cooper-Line...[DNA proven] Fleet Cooper Sr. (1721-1801) - Margaret Coore (1720-1795) Fleet Cooper Jr. (1750-1828) - Sarah Scott (1759-1826) Daniel Cooper (1785-1851) - Zilpah Stevens (1788-1870) Hiram B. Cooper (1828-1865) - Elizabeth E. Smith (1840- ?) George T. Cooper (1857-1918) - Mary T. Chesney (1860-1902) Hiram B. Cooper (1893-1939) - Lola M. Allen (1907-2001) Hiram B. Cooper (1936- ) - Wanda F. Wimberley (1938- ) --My wife & I-- Above is my DNA proven lineage. Although historical writings say Benjamin Cooper is the father of Fleet Sr. and born in PA I have been unable to prove this via DNA testing. My Cooper-line from Fleet Sr. migrated to Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and now I am retired in Arkansas. My Georgia cousin, Gary W. Cooper, descended from Fleet Sr. I have another cousin, Roderick Cooper, who resides in Louisiana. I was not aware of either of these connections until DNA analysis was completed on both. Roderick's Cooper-line, as does mine, descends from Fleet Jr. I was aware of the migration of the Fleet's descendants into the southern states, DNA analysis has substantiated this. As an FYI...For those who are not aware, my line has been published as follows: [Not substantiated by DNA analysis] John Cooper (? - ?) - Alice [LNU] (? - ?) Richard Cooper (1491-1566) - Jane [June] Kingsmill (ca. 1500- ?) John Cooper (1530-1610) - Martha Skutt (ca. 1535- ?) John Cooper II* (1597-1680) - Elizabeth Anne Ashley (ca. 1602-1628) George Ashley Cooper (1621-1681) - Elizabeth Oldfield (1625-1682) James Cooper Sr. (1661-1732) - Hester (ca. 1665-1706) Benjamin Cooper (1701-1776) - Elizabeth Kelly (ca. 1699- ?) *1st Earl of Shaftesbury I have been trying for some time to get the 10th Earl of Shaftesbury to submit a sample of his DNA for analysis. In a phone call to me, he seemed to be amenable to this effort but before he could submit his DNA sample, last November he was alleged murdered by his estranged wife and her brother in France. I am unable to say at this time if his body has not been recovered or not but they have been arrested for his disappearance and alleged murder. I have now made another effort to contact one of his two sons who lives in England to request he submit a DNA sample for analysis in lieu of his father. If he agrees this could prove or disprove a lot of written Cooper family history on my Cooper-line back into the early to mid 1400s. Ben [email protected]
