I'd appreciate any information on a Gilbert M COOPER and family. My Gilbert M. COOPER, 1804-1883, lived in Pompton, Passaic county at least from 1840 on. He was born in New York, possibly Rockland County. He married twice, Catharine and Mary. A daughter from his first marriage to Catharine was my great grandmother Elizabeth. She later married Isaac TOMPKINS and they lived in Pompton then Paterson in Passaic. Most of Gilbert's children were daughters, but there was one son, Harvey.
