It is said that he was born at sea on their voyage and that the father never arrived. He was born May 01, 1795, & m.17 April 1726, Grace RUNYON, lived in Piscataway & removed to Passaic Valley, Moris co. in March 1732. He bought Lot No.2,of the Berkeley tract, containing 500 acres, lying east of and adjoining the quarter owned by Jacob Carle.. Daniel Cooper sr. had six wives. 1. Grace RUNYON 2. Jane WESTBROOK 3. Grace MANNING,d. April 1777 4. Widow Fanny JONES, d. Jan. 1787 5. Barbara Margaret GIBBS,d. Dec. 1789 6. Hannah MARTIN,widow of Col. Ephraim MARTIN. He died 2 May 1795, aged 100 years.
