Dear Researchers of the COOPER Surname, Ontario, Canada COOPERs have been mentioned in several recent posts. I am researching COOPERs and I am also interested in the tobacco-growing area of Ontario that is centered around the town of Delhi, which is located between London and Saint Catharines, only a few miles from the Lake Erie shore, and directly across the lake from Erie, Pennsylvania. There is a tobacco museum at Delhi, which calls itself the "Tobacco Capital of Canada". If anyone knows of COOPERs who either grew tobacco or were tobacconists, I would be more than happy to hear from you. Incidentally, there was a tribe of Native Americans in Ontario, Canada who were known as the Tobacco Indians. Thank You, Randal "Randy" W.
