My husband's line is from the Spartanburg branch. He took the DNA test and matched three others who had documented the same line.(one a known first cousin). We are from the line of David, b. 1725 and Elizabeth (Betsey) presumed-to-be WILDER. My husband is through the line of John Cotton and Nancy ARNOLD; another through his brother Malachi and Ann WILKINSON; and another through John's son Thomas, b. 1775 m. Rebecca LOGAN. I show three Thomases in my files, but none as late as 1846. I don't have all the descendants of all David's children. I'm confused about what you meant in your mention of the one from your line, but no luck. Has he taken the test, with no match, or he won't take the test? It is a very simple process, and the fee is not too high when you consider the time and money that would otherwise be put forth. I'd be interested in sharing info with you to see if there is a possible link.
