    1. Re: [COOPER] Info needed Marvin Cooper, Atlantic City, NJ
    2. Anna; I found your great-grandfather, living with his Uncle and Aunt 1900, N. Carolina. I found him with your great-grandmother and your grandmother Mary and her brother Roy in 1920 in NC. I haven't found them in 1930. You grandfathers WWII Draft Registration gives their address in 1942, the year your father was born, as: 22 Lexington Ave. Montclair, Essex Co., NC. I thought as I read the information you posted after my reply that this was WWII time. Your Dad's mother could have had a relationship with an outbound soldier, as many young women did at the time and found herself pregnant and the father overseas. He may not have known about your father, may have been wounded or died in the War. Apparently your great-grandparents were in disagreement about the placement of your father as your great-grandfather engineered the reunion of your father and his mother after your great-grandmother died. This also sounds like a private arrangement between your grandparents and this family, so you may find nothing "legal" documenting it. If you know the whereabouts of your father's Uncle Roy or his family, you may want to ask them. Or, the children of the family that fostered him. >From one Military Brat to Another Happy Hunting, Sherry ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
