Does anyone know the father of this Alfred? My William Bailey Cooper was born 1783 Stafford Co., VA. He had many sons. Alfred is a name used in my Cooper line. I also notice his son is Michael BAILEY. My William's middle name is BAILEY. My William Bailey went to northern KY at Maysville area on Ohio River. Any connections? Barbara, I notice you have at least two Coopers with the middle name Bailey. We have one - Enoch Bailey Cooper. Enoch's father, John Cooper, was born in North Carolina, 1810. The entire family went to Indiana about 1830. Enoch Bailey Cooper was born in Indiana in 1847. Of course, I'm wondering if there might possibly be a connection. Do you have any idea where the Bailey name came from in your Coopers? I've tried to connect it in mine, but no luck.
