    3. Hi Tootie, I just happened to have come across a Caleb Cooper listed in the 1820 KY census while I was looking for my Cader, who was married in Christian Co.in 1816. Caleb was in Pulaski Co. on page 68A. Sorry I don't have the specifics, just the index notation, but it might be a lead. FWIW_Marty, KY was military land grant country, so maybe the "Cap" came from a militry rank?? Or maybe a slurred "contraction" of Caleb??? Just a thought... BTW-interesting too that my grandma was a MANNING, from the NC line, starting with "a" John, 1635. I checked our book, but the Lucind/i/a in it was b. 1820, the d/o Benjamin, Jr. and Sylvia, who helped settle Butler Co., AL. NOTE: Your marriage dates<<He married (1) Lucinda Anna Manning(Mannan) May 21, 1893 in Jasper County , IN...He married (2)Anna Manning May 21, 1893 in Jasper Co., IN >>> and the fact of Anna being Lucinda's middle name; two marriages, or just the same thing said two different ways??? I would sure like to find a link back for John *C* Cooper, who looks to have been the father of Zachariah, who was b. 1783 in SC, and my Cader b. 1796, as he names them among his sons in his will in Monroe Co, MS in 1829. (They DID get around back then, didn't they??!!) Best Wishes, Nancy Cooper Rosetta Hotler wrote: > > Descendants of John D. Cooper > > Generation No. 1 > > 1.
