Looking for information on a line of Coopers..........................................here is what I have. Thanks! Claude Cooper born 2/8/1903 in Tennessee and died 3/3/1974 in Okeechobee, Florida. He married (1) Mildred Emma Smith (our line). She was born 1/3/1900 in Macon, Missouri and died 10/24/1986 in Independence, Missouri. He married (2) Gladys ????? Mildred Emma Smith is buried in Salem Cemetery, Independence, Missouri. Children of Claude and Mildred are: 1) Lee Allen Cooper Sr. (our line) born 1/28/1926 in St. Louis, Mo. Died 10/14/1997 in Kansas City, Missouri 2) Lolita Lou Cooper ***** She is the one who has provided this information to me, but for some reason will not respond to my calls or letters any longer*******************May try again in a couple of months Children of Claude and Gladys Cooper are: 1) Carroll Cooper 2) Cordella Cooper M. ??? Barron 3) Shirley Cooper M. ?? Adams 4) Jessie Cooper M. ?? Owens 5) Claudia Cooper M. ?? Forster I have I believe a Social Security Index for Claude, just not sure what to do with it or if there is anything I can do with it. I also have a Florida Divorce Index 1927-2001 for Claude and Gladys, again not sure what to do with this information. I have a newspaper Obit for Lee Alan Cooper Sr. That is how I found Lolita. Lolita says she knew nothing of her parents families. They were married a very little time and Claude got married and went away. She did not see him much and knew very little about the new family????? If anyone has any connection or suggestions on how to further trace Claude or Mildred's family, I would appreciate it. This genealogy line is for my daughter and her children. Lee Allen Cooper Jr. was her dad and is deceased. His parents were married for 2 short years and he never knew his father Lee Allen Cooper Sr. I would appreciate any input. Thanks so much.
