I have found that the Coopers that I am researching belong to the Beekman Patent Coopers; In the 1850 Cortland Co., NY Census Esther is living with her son Ashael and his family. In 1860 she is living with son Charles and his family. Another descendant who lives now in Cincinnatus, Cortland Co., NY has found Esther's tombstone in the same cem where Charles and his wife is buried and it says that Esther is the wife of Lewis. This family started in Dutchess Co., Dover twp. In the Beekman Patent books vol. 3 Lewis is listed as the son on William Cooper. Lewis has a bunch of brothers but the family has very little written on the individual persons. I have gleamed what I can from Vol 3 to the series. Does anyone on this list know more. William was supposed to have married a Sarah Price. I have been trying to find other resouces for this family on the net but have found little to nothing. Can anyone help. Thank you, Glee
