    1. Re: [COOPER-L] First Cooper Family in America
    2. hello vernon--thanks for the help! John Cooper was in Platte co. MO in 1850 census. We think the father of John Cooper is Thomas Cooper who wed Nanacy Cornelius in VA. (franklin co.). Don't have documents on this. In the 1850 Platte, MO. census John Cooper is living just one door away from a Thomas Cooper with wife Nancy. This Thomas Cooper is supposably buried at the Cooper Cemetery in Gentry co. MO. We still don't have documents to prove any of this except for the burial and --just the census record. We think the Thomas Cooper family moved from Franklin, VA. to Hendricks, Indiana to Platte co. MO about 1840? and then to Gentry co. by 1852 MO. Do you have any documents or evidence on this family? I sure would like to prove up on some theories. thanks for any help. If you have information on the children of benjamin cooper could you link them to my thomas or john or nathaniel? with documentation? I But, the above data is about what I know on my Coopers. I do appreciate your help and your understanding of the lineages of these Coopers. judy hugg grimes
