[Thomas brother of William & Samuel!] 9. William Cooper [1777-1842]IRE, w. Sarah Craig [1788-1875]; first found in Cambridge, Argyle, then Sterling, Cayuga Co., NY Abt 1812; children: Maria, Joseph, George C., Sally, James C., John Craig & William H.! Very probably son of Joseph? 10. William Cooper [1754-1848]IRE, arr. 1796, first in Bennington, VT & then to White Creek, Washington Co., NY; wife: Elsie [Abt 1760-1845]; children: Phebe, Sally, Elizabeth, Nancy, John, William & Roger [b. VT] m. Sarah Babcock of Salem; migration to Orleans Co., NY! 11. Patrick Cooper [Abt 1750-18??] family found in 1810 Census in Salem but disappeared; however maybe from Perth., Scotland. 12. Helen Cooper & William Duguid of Aberdeenshire, Scotland came to America in 1774, maybe to Argyle, but then to Pattersonville, Schenectady Co., NY! Their descendant Alexander Duguid moved to Sterling, NY & married a Cooper as well as a son married another Cooper? Duguids also moved to Steuben Co., IN where our Coopers came also? [Aberdeenshire is next to Perth?] [CRC 8/04/99-coophudn.txt] Lineages for Dutch Cooper from Dutchess Co. to Cayuga Co., NY and English Coopers from Albany to Cayuga Co. in my records but not in real depth. Coopers moved from Monmouth Co., NJ to Wayne Co., NY, just west of Cayuga co., NY. Also I comment there is great danger in trying to use old manuscripts, IGI posted by Mormons vs. actual data captured from original documents. The vulnerability of the Ancestral File without proof and the above with out proof is very dangerous. Too many people wanted their lineages to happen how they thought rather than by facts proved.
