Ruby, In the Murphy Rowe Cooper book, does she cite a source or sources for the information in the first two chapters? I would appreciate knowing what the sources are. I am not familiar with this book. I have been trying to establish the link between James Cooper, b 1661 Eng., d 1732 Philadelphia, PA and ancestors in England. Some sources state that his parents were George Ashley Cooper and Elizabeth (Oldfield) Cooper but I have not located anything to confirm this. According to John Hutchins, George and Elizabeth Cooper were the parents of (1)George Cooper, d 1727, (2)Elizabeth Ann Cooper who married Sir William Hanham and (3---)"several more children" names unknown. I shall appreciate any information you can provide. Thank you.
