I was glad to hear from you. So far I've only heard from one other person about these Coopers & he was interested in my Cochran ties. I'm descended from the sister, Martha. She married John Lawhorn who grew up in the same district of Marion Co.as she did. They lived "next door" in Webster Co. after they married & soon ended up in Taylor Co. where they are buried at Sand Bethel Cemetery along with Hardy & his family. Do you have the write-up in the History of Marion County about William Stephens Cooper. There's a picture in there of Elizabeth Bacon (his wife) & Fleet Wood Cooper(younger son). My scanner is misbehaving but I have transcribed the written portion of the article if you would like a copy. Or I can make copies & send it to you through the mail, picture & all. That is actually the only information I have so far on the Coopers. Unfortunately the only source here in the Marietta library for Marion Co. is the one book--the History. I haven't started on the census records though. They usually have pretty interesting information. I'll be happy to share what I discover as I find it and I'd be interested in what you might have. I also have some really good sources for Taylor Co. if you need more information on Hardy and his life there. Where do you live? I noticed your email was from Andrew College but I'm not familiar with it. Sincerely Gwen
