Fergy, I would love to connect with BENJAMIN, SHARSHALL, etc. My JOHN had no parents or siblings that Ican find. plus he was 44 when he died, probally of wounds from the war of 1812.When I used to travel to Frankfort Ky to Gen/hist records I would not look at SARSHALL records, etc, because "he was not my line". But JOHN COOPER b 1775 Baltimore Md went to Ruckerville (Clark Co Ky) to live on 1/3 of 800 acres his father in law had left three of his children (266 acers). This was about ten miles north of Ft Boonesborough (Madison Co), just N of the Ky River. LTC BENJAMIN,DANIEL, WILLIAM, wife FRANCIS, JOHN, Capt SARSHALL, BRAXTON Sr and Jr, STEPHEN ROBERT, etc all went (not at the same time- I counted 18) up the Ky River, down the Ohio, then up the Missouri by steam boat. LEWIS of Lewis and Clark was Governor. Other families also went EMBREE, HANCOCK,BERRY, ERWIN, BROWN, WOLFSKILL, THORPE, JONES, PEAK, WOODS. And this is not my line. Any ideas???
