Huguenot Refugees on Board Ship Mary and Ann, August 12, 1700, Virginia, James City were Francoise Coupet and Pierre Cupper. Does anyone have any infomation on these two individuals? In Stafford County, I find record of a Mary Copher, widow of Francis Copher; 13 Nov. 1727-15 June 1728; 328 a. on brs of Pohick; Copher deceased since warrent issued, now Mary Copher, his widow surveys same for Francis, infant son of said Francis; adj. Henry Ward, Walter Griffin's rouling road. Surv. James Thomas. (info from Northern Neck Warrants & Surveys by Peggy Shomo Joyner). I am trying to find proof that the Francis in 1700 and the other Francis in 1727 are linked. It is my belief that the infant son of the above Francis is my ggggggf.
