We are not sure but another researcher said it was either Parda or Pardee. There were Pardee's in the area an may be a lead but just not sure. The original lead was from a book on the Cowles by DuVall Cowles pub. 1929. It mentioned a ____ Cooper m. Sophia Lucinda Cowles in Pultneyville, 1835. I have traced the family all the way down to me as they gradually moved across the country until Nathaniel d in CO in 1870 and Sophia bought land in Baker co., Eastern Oregon and died there in 1893 (I tink it was off the top of my head). Carroll What does the P State for? Is this a lead?
