My late husband's grandmother's maiden name was COOPER. As far as I can learn, her father JOHN and his family settled in and around Coles County Illinois. DAISY COOPER married Isaac Newton Walker in the late 1800's. If these sound familiar, I can put you in touch with my son, who may have more info than I.
