Since I remembered this, a few years back I was out 'estating' I found a wonderful book, by the author, J. Wesley COOPER, written in 1957. The title is: A Treasure of Ante-Bellum Homes - Natchez. In the bio for Mr Cooper, it also appears he spent a few years living in Natchez, from GA, prior to moving to Spartanburg, SC. The other book in my possession is A treasure of Louisiana Plantation Homes, 1961. I wanted to share the resource with you and give you a brief listing of surnames indexed in the NATCHEZ book (most are only one person listed, but are tied directly to a specific home). You may contact me if you are interested in a specific home or the LOUISIANA book and I'll check and forward information as found.
