    2. cathy: bare with me on this probably no connection but these coopers sure are hard to track,do you have any record of them changeing their name spelling?,,,,,,(STORY): A>L>COOPER(initials only) and ? wife Elizabeth(married ?),born appr. 1864-1874 poss,ten,virg, had a son names Charlie(charles) C.Cooper born jan 20,1887, in Izard co,ark,there was a family John William Dehart(and Elizabeth haynes-Dehart),around Hartford,Sebastian,ark also wister,poteau,leflore county,oklahoma it was said that the parents (cooper) died of the flu and maybe a son newborn of the flu(grippe) 1890-1892 and that the dehart family adopted with love and effection Charie(charles) Cooper Sep.23,24,1892 (paper work shows) with legal name change,but they(deharts) never listed him as a son in census and from there on down the family line no one knough of him or of a adoption(? why) Charlie is my grgrandfather and all we have is a picture of A.L.COOPER(where did deharts get it?) and a (post card to a.l.cooper in south canadian indian territory,okla)about deeed of record abstract to follow,? land rush?1890-1892, and his picture how did they obtain these things?,adoption records say parents deceased. could john realy be a.l.?same elizabeth?,found a albert cooper commited murder in 1891 never caught him along same area!>could this be? land later went to boy(6 time adopted)instead of deharts was it his fathers?whats up..see how elusive they are...tkste1@aol.com tecumseh,okla

Cooper could be related somehow to my John McCutchie Cooper, but since I know nothing of my John's siblings and other family (except one sister), I have no information to tie in with yours. They may have changed the spelling of their name at some point, but I don't have any indication that they did, and have heard no family stories that mention it. I do know that some of my Denson family moved to Arkansas, so maybe some of the Coopers did too. One of these days, WHEN I locate John M.'s family, maybe we'll be able to connect!
