    2. A very helpful person fwd the following to me from another list. This was in an article on Early Burke County, GA. I do not know the name of the publication but will find out if anyone is interested also I do not have any additional info on the coopers and copelands listed. Gene, Here is what I found: Cannon Cooper, Solomon Lam (this is how they spelled it) and Barnaby Lamb signed the petition asking for a pardon for James Taylor (62 total signers). This was written to Gov. Telfair and he served in 1786 and 1790 - 92 so it was during his service. James Coper and Solomon Lamb signed a petition asking for a pardon for Littleberry Tilman 1800 or 1801. Cannon Copper sgned a petition asking for the pardon of Blassingame Harvey in 1791. Harvey was in a fight with another man. ( I have described this in other postings.) 126 total signed Cannon Cupper, James Copeland, and Abram Lamb signed the petition for pardon of Wm. Allen Burton who was also in the above fight. 163 signed his pardon request. Cannon Cooper is listed as a juror for the above case in court Feb. 18, 1791. There is a list of foreclosures, 1785 - 1792 and one of the people who was foeclosed, John Mears, had land next to Thomas Lamb and George Baillie. There is a list of legal notices found in the Augusta Chronicle and Thomas Lamb is listed as having land next to Nicholas Long. There is a list of people who defaulted on their taxes: Mr. Copeland in 1790 Frederick Cooper in 1793 Abraham Lamb in 1790 Abraham Lamb, Jr. in 1793 Bethal Lamb in 1790 Solomon Lamb in 1790 Thomas Lamb in 1793 I noticed that in 1793 Thomas Lamb and Abraham Lamb are living in the same district. In 1790 Abraham, Bethal, and Solomon Lamb are living in the same district. Gene Lamb Researching Cooper, Copeland, Toler, Lamb, Newsome. GA, NC, VA
