Susan Jay was born about 1850-3 in Lamar Co., TX to George Simeon Jay and Susannah (maiden unkn.) Dean, a widow of Asa Dean who died in Red River Co., TX. George S. and Susannah Dean Jay married in Red River Co., TX in 1847. They had children, Susan and William Jay. George S. Jay was married previously, spouse ;unknown, prob. m. in SC or GA, and had children: Jesse C., George W. S. , and Mary F. Jay all born in GA, Geo. S. Jay w/ children, wife was in 1840 census in Talbot Co., GA. I would like to get in touch with any descendants of Susan Jay and Ira Cooper.
