    2. Hi everyone. Thought I'd add my Cooper/Native American connection to the list. My g-grandmother Emma Viola Cooper was Oneida Indian, born in Patterson, Ohio, on Feb 2, 1869, d. Jan 4, 1894 in Hennessey, Kingfisher Co., Oklahoma Territory. She married Charles Auston Brannon on May 11, 1883, in Burrton, Harvey Co., Kansas. Her parents were Phillip Henry Cooper (b. Feb 13, 1813 in New York) and Elizabeth Boyles (b. abt. 1834 in Pennsylvania, d. Jun 21, 1898). Phillip and Elizabeth had 10 other children: Mary Ann Cooper b. Aug 21, 1851 in New York, d. Apr 1899 Johnny Morrison Cooper b. Dec 6, 1853, d. Jan 15, 1854 Morrison Boyles Cooper b. Jan 26, 1855 in Ohio, d. Aug 1, 1923 John Henry Cooper b. Apr 29, 1858 in Ohio, d. Feb 3, 1940 George Ervins Cooper b. Jul 18, 1860 in Ohio, d. Jan 15, 1923 Eliza Jane "Jennie" Cooper b. Jan 8, 1862 in Ohio, d. 1923. (She married someone named Hayes and they had 2 children - Charles & Willie.) Stella Evaline Cooper b. Jan 23, 1864 in Ohio Charles Railton Cooper b. Sept 12, 1865 in Ohio, d. Jun 1923 Harry Alfred Cooper b. Jul 1, 1867 in Ohio Thomas Clemons Cooper b. 1870 in Ohio, d. Jun 22, 1958 In the 1870 census, the family was in Jackson Township, Hardin Co., Ohio. In 1880, they were in Silver Lake Township, Shawnee Co., Kansas. My grandfather, his siblings, and cousins Charles & Willie Hayes all attended the Chilocco Indian School in Kay Co., Oklahoma. I'd love to talk with any distant cousins. Barbara
