I doubt the possibility that John W. Cooper came from northern KY because of some unsubstantiated knowledge that the origins were possibly more eastern parts of the US. But, as the saying goes, one never knows. I would be interested in the Cooper data you have. There was a John Cooper that moved to Putnam County, Indiana from Montgomery County, Kentucky about 1828. I wonder if this person could have any relationship to yours?
