    3. Is it possible that your John W. Cooper came to IN from northern KY? I have a lot of Coopers in your time frame in Bracken and Robertson counties. B. Wimm Larry Garrett <[email protected]> wrote:I am looking for information about the ancestry of DANIEL H. COOPER, my maternal great-grandfather. He was born 14 January 1867 in Hancock County, INDIANA; was married to Phoebe Rosa Johnson on 14 January 1891; and died on 15 August 1931 in Hancock County, Indiana. So far as I know all these dates are correct. It is possible Daniel's father was John W. Cooper and his mother was Sarah (maiden name unknown), but this is where all my information stops. If anyone can help me locate Daniel H. Cooper's parents, and further back if possible, as well as their geographic origins, I would be most grateful. Thank you. 3. I doubt the possibility that John W. Cooper came from northern KY because of some unsubstantiated knowledge that the origins were possibly more eastern parts of the US. But, as the saying goes, one never knows. I would be interested in the Cooper data you have. 3. There was a John Cooper that moved to Putnam County, Indiana from Montgomery County, Kentucky about 1828. I wonder if this person could have any relationship to yours?
