FLORENCE — Mr. Jamie Charles Cooper, 74, husband of Evelyn Idora Demery Cooper, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 27 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins, with Rev. Wendell Lee and Rev. Jimmy Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Mr. Cooper was born February 8, 1934 in Horry County, a son of the late Willie and Sally Cook Cooper. He retired from Tupperware. Mr. Cooper was a member of Hannahs Chapel Church. Surviving Mr. Cooper in addition to his wife of 44 years and of the home are: a Son: Jamie Neal Cooper and his wife Ginger of Florence; a Step-son: Lynn Demery of Atlanta, Ga.; 2 Grandchildren: Malony Cooper and Mara Cooper; a Great Grandchild: Landon Moore; and a Brother: Harry Cooper of Aynor. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 til 8 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
