Darlene, Was John C. a son of Old Samuel Cooper? I have done a lot of looking at this line. My third great grandfather was Stephen Cooper. Have you ever heard of him? I think he and your Samuel were brothers, or possibly cousins. They were closely associated, and were even jointly sued by the state of Tennessee, probably for delinquent taxes, or some such thing. I'm tracing my husband's COOPER/KEEFER line, and the family history passed down in handwritten notes includes a Peter COOPER/KEEFER from this time period. His son Abraham was born 9 September 1774 and married to Elizabeth TRONEBERGER in September of 1804. Is there a connection here? Also, who were John Fry's parents? Hi List, I am looking for info on two Hampton women who married Cooper's. The first is Elizabeth Hampton who was born early 1800s in Magoffin, Floyd or Greenup County, Ky. She was married to a Cooper and had a son named William and possibly John Wesley. The second was Lillie Hampton born 1890s probably Greenup County, Ky. I believe the will was written in 1764 and proved in 1770.

This sturdy bible was published through Union Theological Seminary, New York City, June 15th, 1869. I'm not related to these folks and have no other information.
