I don't think this Samuel and Elizabeth had any children as none are listed in either of their wills. The Ralph HUNT Jr. was probably the son of Ralph and Rachel HUNT as shown in the records of the Quaker Bush River Meeting. Ralph HUNT Jr. also had a sister Joanna (born 1st mo, 8th day, 1786) who married a COOPER. Would anyone know who this COOPER might be? 2. Thank you much, Joyce. It would make sense that Jesse's Father would be John, as Jesse's son was named John also. As to Jesse's wife, Sarah Elizabeth Cale's father, Henry Cale having been in Hampshire C.,Va...he was born 1812, so he may not have still lived in that county by the 1850 census. By 1901 he had lived and did die in Noble,Guernsey C.,Oh. They really did move! It was very nice of you to check. Best wishes. He married Amelia+* w:Cooper-P4,5. Notes for Peter+* Cooper: Peter Cooper, the emigrant, came to New England in 1635, a passenger in the ship "Susan & Ellen". Then aged twenty-eight, he settled in the town of Rowley, Essex county, Massachusetts, (named after Rowley, England) and was the owner of a house lot of an acre and an half as early as 1643. His will is on record in the Probate Office of that county. Rowley records give the names and births of one son and three daughters. the son, Samuel, remained in Rowley, and was himself the father of three sons, beside daughters. Of these three sons, the grandchildren of the emigrant, Samuel and Moses, died apparently without male issue to continue the line ; the third son Leonard, removed from Rowley to Newcastle, Maine and left a large family of children, as you will see in the following Cooper families Peter the emigrant, born 1607, married Emme, Ame, or Amelia, who died in Rowley, Massachusetts in 1689, and was buried in Rowley. All of the issue of this union were born at Rowley, Massachusetts.
