Dear Subscribers to the COOPER Surname Mailing List, I am researching Judah Paddock COOPER, who married Lavinia FOWLER, 1815, in Suffield, Connecticut or Westfield, Massachusetts. There have been postings by Rosetta Hotler and Dolores Pringle, of a COOPER/FOWLER marriage in the South, that of Godfrey FOWLER to Rahab COOPER. If you have found family connections back to New England, I would be very interested to hear the details. Perhaps we can help each other by realizing a link between New England and the South, which has not been traced until now. Thank you for any clues as to COOPER/FOWLER connections. Randal W. Cooper

Rosetta, Would you mind posting this info to the FOWLER list? Several of us are deep in FOWLER research, trying to prove parentage of the children of John FOWLER. Our ancestor has been said to be a grandson of John FOWLER, son of Godfrey and Rahab. Thank you. If you have any kind of problem with this, just let me know. Godspeed... Dolores M. Looking for any information on Martha COOPER, who married Samuel Ogden, probably in 1850's to 1861. They had atleast 1 son, James Washington Ogden, born in Peoria, Illinois, in about 1862. Any COOPER'S in Peoria??? Any information at all??? Thanks! Kevin
I have Samuel Cooper, son of William and Lydia Clark as being born 1761. Thirty five years later his wife Elizabeth Worley Cooper prepares her will. Does this mean that Samuel is dead? She stated she was sick. Do we know when she died? Sounds like both died without children since she willed everything to her family.Anyone have any additional info? Tom Fox 5th great grandson of William and Lydia, looking for additional info on uncle Samuel.
Cousin Steve, Forgot to answer your last e-mail. Sorry. Still looking. Do you have anything new? Barbara

That makes sense, in light of the other material/family connections. I'm sorry I can't help you with Joanna, but I show that Marcome/ Sarah Jackson Randolph had a daughter Elizabeth Denton Cooper b. 1787 who, from her marriage to Littleberry WHITE, had dau. Mary WHITE who married a HUNT.(1st name unknown to me.) Mary's sister Margaret married the John Cooper who was her uncle, Elizabeth D.'s brother, also son of Marcome. (Can any of you verify this?) So, this is purely speculative, do you see where she could fit into this family? I have no wife named for Marcome's son Edward. (Do you?) Thanks again, and keep up the good work! Nancy
Hi, I have recently recieved a copy of my grandmothers birth certificate, on which it states her parents were Louis F. Cooper and Harriet Brown. It only gives their birth place as the usa. Could anyone tell me how I can find out more about or where I could go to get more information on their place of birth. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My grandmother, Mary Louisa Cooper was born May 1, 1901 in Richmond, Indiana. Nancy, I show the same as Norwood does in my records. I also do not show any children. Samuel died in 1794. The wording in the will is remarkably similar to that in Williams will from 1775 Danny Cooper Byrd
