    1. [COOPER] PLEASE HELP: ALL FLEET COOPER RELATIVES (DIRECT OR REMOTE)
    2. Gary Cooper
    3. To all relatives of Fleet Cooper, Sr. of Sampson County, NC; either related directly or remotely through collateral lines: The commonly accepted parentage of Fleet Cooper, Sr. has for years been based upon the book by Murphy Rowe Cooper, "The Cooper Family History and Genealogy, 1681-1931". Since this book was published, however, there have been more and more fellow researchers who have called Murphy Rowe Cooper's research into question. In more recent years, the new tool of genealogical DNA testing, has not been able to prove Fleet Cooper's descent from Benjamin and Elizabeth Kelly Cooper, or from James Cooper of Stratford Upon Avon, in England, or from George Ashley Cooper, the brother of Anthony Ashley Cooper, 1st Earl of Shaftesbury. It is beyond belief, that as noted a personality and public figure that Fleet Cooper, Sr. was; that there is not one scrap of evidence, not one ambiguous Bible record, not one note in some family members treasures, that offers up and alternative line or alternative names of Fleet, Sr.'s parents from which to begin additional research. This is a plea to anyone remotely or directly related to Fleet Cooper, Sr., to PLEASE help us to do an exhaustive search for any old letter, notes, Bible records, public records, ANYTHING that might be stored away in some dusty attic, basement or abandoned chest or closet, that might give the family a new direction or lead in determining Fleet Cooper, Sr.'s parentage. Thank You in advance for anything helpful. Regards, Gary

    2. Opps I think I sent it to the wrong Cooper!!! Subject: HELP!! (Cooper/Jones/Woodruff) I am in need of some assistance I have a few requests..and not sure what to do next. First, I am trying to find the marriage info of my ggggrandparents, WILLIAM JONES and ANNA LOUISA (WOODRUFF).???? I think that they were married in TN..? My gggandmother Anna Louisa was born in Jackson, TN in 1872 or 1873. However, TN did not require to keep birth records until 1914.??? But I am trying to find more info on her parents. I was wondering if anyone knows even though they didnt keep birth records... (1)? did they keep marriage announcements and/or records in TN.?? (there seems to be too many William Jones and Anna Louisa's in various data bases but I dont have other details to distingusih.. like birthdays and marriage dates...I even looked up civil war databases but cant tell until I have few more details..) I have also found that they came up to Massachusetts.? Their daughter, Anna Louisa married in March, 1898 to Walter Cooper in Massachusetts.?? Anna and her parents were living in Florence, MA at 109 ELM street.?? I cant seem to find the census for them.,? I dont know how to find out what district that this address is under.? I have to go and look at every single census.. but does anyone know how to?figure?out..which district... ?? Also, someone a while ago, gave me info regarding Anna & Walter's marriage, I think they had a subscribtion to NEHS but?didnt indicate?provide?any other info if there was on it.. IS there anyone can look up that marriage info and see?if there is more info on?it regarding her parents?? (I do have the census of Anna and?Walter?in 1900, 1910 .? Anna?died in 1911. and I have few more with just Walter...)?? Lfelixthekat... Email and AIM finally together. 1. [COOPER] Lee Allen Cooper
    2. Many of you have in the past tried to help me find the biological grandfather of my daughter as he was the mystery man of my research. The information I had was from my elderly ex-mother-in-law who divorced him in 1948 after only being married to him about 2 years. He left when my ex-husband was a baby, never to be heard of again. I found a Lee Allen Cooper Obit in the Kansas City Star 10/17/1997. Everything matched except his month and date of birth. So I wrote the funeral home an email and they responded with January 1, 1926 in St. Louis, Mo. being his birth information. They also stated he had one sister named Lolita Ledbetter. ( I doubted my ex-mother-in-law's memory on this first name, but she was correct) It said that Lee was the son of Claude and Mildred(Smith) Cooper. He was divorced and no record of any children. This would be because he never knew his son. Anyway, I wanted to ask if anyone has any connection to this family? I still have no confirmation on whether he is the father of my ex. (My ex is also deceased) So I will need to try and confirm this information somehow. But all the facts fit except the month and date of birth. I think I probably have him. Thanks again, Terrie Cooper-Piper ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

    1. [COOPER] William Jones and Anna L. Woodruff
    2. I am looking for info on my gggrandparents. They are WILLIAM JONES and ANNA LOUISE WOODRUFF. I think they were in Tennessee first and then came up to Massachusetts. My ggrandmother, ANNA LOUISA JONES, was born in Jackson, TN in 1872/1873. Unfortunately, they did not keep birth records when she was born. I am trying to figure out date of William and Anna's marriage and location, and if there were other children also. According to the census of 1900, their daughter (Anna Louisa Jones) indicated that her parents were born in Tennesse. Anna Louisa Jones ended up in MA with her parents and married WALTER A.COOPER in 1898. Thus, having 5 children, (one died I assume at birth). My grandmother was Myrtle Eliza Cooper born in Massachusetts in 1911. If anyone thinks they have a connection or so.. please dont hesitate to contact me. 3. Hi, I am looking for any information on William George Cooper, born about 1859 in Devon England. He was my gg grandfather and married Susannah Randall in 1881 in Tasmania, Australia. He died in Tasmania 22 December 1925 aged 66. I have been having trouble eliminating the number of William Coopers born about this time (and with 2 young children it seems an impossibility!). Any help with a William George Cooper who came to Australia between 1859 and 1881 would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, Rachael Green Tasmania, Australia
