    1. [COOPER-L] Missing Isabella 1869-? MI
    2. nancy erb
    3. Hi again, My great grandmother is Isabella Cooper born Dec 1869 in Canada, married Edward Richardson Abt 1884. I first find them on census in 1900 in Burt Twp, Alger Co MI. They disappear after that and Edward Richardson reappears in 1920 with a new wife named Jennie and step daughter Ethel Minard in Saginaw MI. No trace of Isabella. Edward and Isabella had fours sons in order: John Edward , Harold C, William Henry , and Adolphus. John Edward has been found a Pharmacist in Detroit, Harold C died in 1899 Burt Twp, William Henry is my grandfather and Adolphus is lost after the 1900 census. What a difficult family! Perhaps since the second son is named Harold C, Isabella's father is named Harold Cooper. Searching Saginaw for death certificates, marriage certificates, etc turned up nothing. I am hoping Isabella belongs to a family that will recognize her. I know there is a Cooper family in Kent Co Ontario that is a possibility, but have not made the trip to the library in Lansing to investigate yet. TIA, Nancy (Orr) Erb

The ones I suspect to be his siblings are: Joseph born 1790 Eliza born 1816 Alfred born ? Alexander born ? My James died in Vigo County, Indiana as did Joseph. Vigo is not that far from Posey County, possibly two counties. Sherry

    3. Do you know what the A. L. stands for. My father name was A. L. Cooper, Sr and my brother was A. L. Cooper, Jr. I have traced them back to a William Cooper but don't know anything other than their name, except there is some indication that they may have lived in Michigan at one time or at least went through Michigan to somewhere else. E-mail me if anything sounds familiar or if you have anything to add. btdtcr@ourtownusa.net Jo in Kansas ----- Original Message ----- From: <Tkstet1@aol.com> To: <COOPER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: 21 July, 2000 3:36 PM Subject: Re: [COOPER-L] Cooper Wayne Co Ky > Hello do you have any Cooper mystery's maybe we can compare notes, need to > find some-site to post my A.L.Cooper(biological grgrandfather) picture maybe > some one is related .Please anyone help! tkstet1@aol.com > > > ==== COOPER Mailing List ==== > This list is brought to you by the RootsWeb Members and Sponsors. > RootsWeb Gen.Data Coop.Box 6798 Frazier Park, CA 93222 > http://www.rootsweb.com/rootsweb/how-to-subscribe.html >

    1. [COOPER-L] Josiah Randolph Cooper
    2. William C. Duyck
    3. I am trying to track down Josiah Randolph Cooper born c.1841 in GA based on the 1850 census. He is the son of Andrew J. and Pamela Cooper, who are first found on Walker Co. in 1840. In 1850 and 1860 the family is in Gordon Co., in 1870 in Floyd, and in 1880 in Polk. Josiah's oldest daughter is married in 1888, but I have not found any records after the 1880 census for Josiah or Andrew. In 1880 Josiah was unemployed and divorced with two daughters and Andrew's wife Pamela was apparently already dead. There is a J. R. Cooper in the Cooper Cemetery in Gordon County, who was born 18 Mar 1837. Along with him are Henry and Elizabeth Cooper who were born in 1802(an age which could make them his parents) and the family of Buford and Lula Cooper, born 1877 and 1875, respectively (the ages which could make them children). Does anyone know these Coopers and have information on this J. R.? It would help me confirm or eliminate him as my disappearing Josiah Randolph. Thanks in advance for any help. Gene Ann

The adoption papers show severall things with the. witness but not a lot else.. I didnt even know about these until lately. My father and 1 brother had searched but could find out O. 3. Sandy, Have you been able to find out anything about who the witness was? (relationship? neighbor? some involvement.) That might give you a clue. Also, I remember there was quite a bit of activity in respect to Coopers in Izard Co., AR several years back. Did you find anything in the archives that might tie in? Good luck.
