    3. George, I wish you wouldn't unsubscribe. I have not been able to watch the website but I have lost my Coopers in N. J. and am not able to do research at this time. Have just gotten out of the hospital once again and do not have access to my records at this time. It will still be a couple of months before I do. 3. Hi Raymond... Here's a couple of suggestions (you may have already tried these, but you didn't say, so....) Try contacting the Freemasons: http://www.masonsofthesanjuan.org/lodges.html (This is a listing of all the Grand Lodges in the US. There are links on each page for individual lodges.) Boxing Commission in Wyoming...Try the Wyoming State Archives: http://www-wsl.state.wy.us/sis/refform.html http://www-wsl.state.wy.us/wsl/search.html You could also do a search for the U.S. Boxing Commissioner's office and see if they have a contact for Wyoming. 2. Raymond Coon
    3. I'm looking for connections to Morris (he liked to be called Maurice or Curley) COOPERMAN. He was born in New York the son of Abraham COOPERMAN who immigrated from Vienna, Austria in 1882. Abraham met and married Fanny Windon. Morris and David were born in New York. In 1887 or 1888 the family moved to Leadville, Colorado. Morris may have had several wives in his lifetime. One wife was Ophia Cable who was from the Burlington, IA area.. Morris is known to have been in Deadwood, SD and Las Vegas, NV at different times. I hear that he was a boxer and was the commissioner of boxing in the state of Wyoming. He was also very high in the Freemasons in Denver, CO. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Raymond Coon

    2. Robby McCain
    3. Hi I am descendant of John Taylor and Mary Cooper (grandaughter of Fleet Cooper of Sampson County, NC) through their son Henry Taylor. Henry married Eliza Ann Duke in early 1830s in Yalobusha County, MS. They moved or where they lived became part of Lafayette County, MS. They had a daughter named Mary Jane (don't know for sure what the J stands for) Taylor, who married John Thomas Williams in Lafayette County. They had several children of which I am descended from two (one on my mother's and the other on my father's side). Andrew Jackson Williams and Eliza E. Williams Carroll. Most of my family has stayed in Lafayette County since they moved here in the early 1800s and the Taylor family is no exception. I still live within about five miles from where they Taylors originally moved. Does anyone connect to these Taylors? I know there are several people on the list that connect to Fleet Cooper Sr. of Sampson County, NC. Thanks Robby McCain Taylor, MS ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

    1. [COOPER-L] Anna Mary Cooper
    2. Norma R Farmilo
    3. Hi All! I just discovered from her son's death certificate that my Anna Mary Cooper was born in Vermont. I always looked in PA where she lived with her husband, William Turner Burns. They were married 11/12/1840. I don't know which state, PA or VT. I had her birth date as 1830 but I doubt if she married at age 10. Her husband was born 1819. That gives us a range to work with. I always suspected that her last name was Rushton because her son's middle name was Rushton. Do you suppose that was her mother's maiden name? With these clues can anyone help me? Norma

    1. [COOPER-L] COOPER, Irving Wentworth
    2. Hi everybody, I have an unusual problem here. I have a picture in front of me of Irving Wentworth COOPER, b. March 16, 1911, taken sometime between 1911-1913. He is not older than two, probably someplace between 9 mos and 18 mos. Photo was taken by "F.W. Wood, Ltd., Photographers, 347 & 349 Edgware Rd., W." It is printed on the familiar post-card, but is also inside a brown heavy paper frame. Paper feels something like construction paper weight, but smoother. On the front is BEST WISHES printed in fancy script with leaves entwined with the scrolling in the script. There is no town or country listed. I am assuming that it is probably from England for two reasons. One my mother had started sorting pictures and I am finding this with a bunch of pictures that include several of Elizabeth Eliza COOPER ADAMS, copies of pictures of her home in Scotland, and a copy of Wickham Cottage in Fawkham, Kent. It also has something on the post-card that we do not have in the U.S. Three languages. It says "Post Card" and "Carte Postale-Postkarte". English, French and German? It also has "Commication-Mitteilungen-Correspondance" and Address-Adresse" Does anybody know who Irving Wentworth COOPER, b. March 16, 1911 is? Who his parents and siblings are? Does anybody recognize the name and address of the photographers? Where is it? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Annie

    1. [COOPER-L] John Cooper 1777 Virginia/???? Kentucky
    2. Carolyn C Marvin
    3. Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for my brick wall. I found John Cooper listed on the 1850 Federal Census in Campbell Co, KY. He is listed with his daughter, Mary and her husband Silas M. McIntosh. Shows he was born abt 1777 in Virginia and his wife's name was Elizabeth born abt 1783 in Virginia. Found Silas and Mary McIntosh in the 1860 Federal Census in Callaway Co. MO without her father & mother. So assuming John and Elizabeth Cooper died between 1850 and 1860. Anything would be greatly appreciated. Carolyn
