Hi Barbara...I have some Coopers in Ky in the early 1800's. I dont have a Christopher, that I know of, The Cooper family I have came to Christian County Ky about 1830. Wells Cooper and Elizabeth Hogan had several children by the 1840's. Wells died about 1836, Elizabeth was still living in the 1870 census. They were from Tn and N.C. Out Coopers have had six DNA test , this connects three different Cooper families. If your Cooper has the test, and there is a match, this would left you know if you connect to Our Line... Looking forward to hearing from you... Curt, You should consider DNA. There is a very good Cooper DNA study in progress. Be glad to send more information. I found a James Cooper on the 1870 census in Franklin Co.AR, but he is only 27 with wife Hetta and one child? If you think this is a connection, let me know and I can send you an attachment with the full census page. Upon further review....that is the correct family, but that is the 1880 Franklin Co, AR census. I'm looking for this family in 1870. Maybe they are in a neighboring county?
