He died somewhere between 1985-1990, after I was born. He was married to Dorothy Shields and adopted a son and named him William Coonrod (don't know middle name) who married Marian Tubbs, produced three children, Donald Scott, Robert (mn?), and Shari (married Mark Walters, 2 sons Travis, Ryan). Donald married my mom, Cecile Morrel and had Kara Leigh (me), Scott Clark, and Laura Elise. Does that help?

I think you probably have a much better handle on the Christopher Coonrod / Conrad line than I do. Do you know if Christopher might have had a son named Thomas who was married to a Catherine ? It sounded like you must have a copy of Christopher's will, I would love to get a copy of it. That might even help me tie in some of the other Coonrod / Conrads that I have found in that area. Thanks and God Bless. Rufus [email protected]

Anyway, I've received a lot of info from another researcher who has pretty much allayed my doubts that George might not be a son of Christopher, since Christopher's will lists George W Conrad as the executor. And my George is the only George W Conrad in the area, AFAIK. I may respond further when I get my computer back in the pink.

Marriage Records for a George W Coonrod married to a Julia Ann Benson 12 Sep 1848 ? Also have you looked at the listing for the Conrad cemetery located in Good Hope Twp. Hocking Co.? There is an Amellia buried there with a death date of 10 Sep 1847, she was 38y 2m 9d at time of death. The listing shows her as the wife of G. W. This is where I got lost on this Christopher Coonrod/ Conrad line. There might have been a George W. Conrad Sr. & Jr. or our George might have just been hard on the wives. ha ha At any rate, it sure does look like a Christopher & Barbara Coonrod / Conrad were at least some relation to George W. Do you have any other information on these Hocking Co. OH Coonrods / Conrads ? I would love figure out how they are related to my Adam Coonrod / Conrad b. abt 1774 in VA Thanks and God Bless.
