Your message intrigued me in that I have been searching for information on my ggrandmother, Nancy Coonrod, b. 1842 in Kentucky. Other that she married my ggrandfather William Wadley, b.1837 in Indiana, I have no information on Nancy. I'm grasping for straws in that Peter Coonrod and Nancy Sooks, who was born in 1821, could have had a daughter in 1842 and named her after her mother. My grandfather, George Jarett Wadley was born in Belpin, Indiana (9-12-1875). Hope to hear from you. Buck

Another group came in the 1720's I think and were in Columbia County. Many stayed around Grafton and Brunswick. Some moved on westward and are found in Montgomery County. There was a Coonradstown just west of Rome at one time. They were also in Herkimer County, Madison County and others. So I imagine those in Sodus and vicinity were of the same origins,

I have been hitting my head against the "brick wall" for the past 5 years and cannot find when he came to America, although I know it was between the third daughter's, Josephine, birth 1835/36 in France and his son's, John, birth around 1840 in NY. I do not know his parents names nor the last name of his wife, Margaretha/Margaretta, also born in Bayern/Baden. Daughters Angelina, Adalina and Josephine. They also had a young girl named Elizabeth Dahan living with them in NY. When they moved to NJ around 1848-1850, she becomes Elizabeth Coonrad. Any help would be appreciated dearly.
