Addressed: Mrs. Dorothy Miller Sudbury Text: Pittsford March 30, 1821 Dear Cousin I am favored with a conveyance of thoughts on the pale sheet to you: how excellent the invention! I hasten to inform you interesting particulars I must be concise, for the mail is waiting: The most intersing [sic] is the reformation! The Lord is at work in a wonderful manner! The most profane have become praying men. The drunkard is forsakeing [sic] his cup! The stout-hearted is brought to cry out – “God be merciful to me a sinner!” Cousin are you a sharer in this cause? Or are you more concerned to please your husband? I embrace the Saviour: & I trust the unbelieving husband will be sanctified by the believing wife! We received a letter from Sister Sarah, she wrote her anxiety to see you a husband: wrote her agreeable acquaintance thinks of returning in Autumn: Our family are well except Anna, her health is very poor: we are fearful she is in a declining state: The Doct. Say she must journey She has a great desire to visit you: I hope she will be able to go. Your mothers family are in usual health I saw the young people at meeting last eve: I care not so much about your coming to [?]. as I should if you would visit us do come if consistent!
