Dear Listers, A friend of mine was hurt in a bad car accident. The person who caused the accident was cited at the scene. She recently told me that she can not get treated for her injuries or be compensated for her losses because she just found out that it was an off duty police officer who had hit her. I told her I did not think this was right and I would ask around. My question is: CAN THIS BE TRUE? Thank you, Maureen Cooley
