Hello, I have read documents from other countries. They use to put female children in the mothers maiden name. Did you know you can name your children any name you want to i.e.....Ginger Snap (it is a cookie) My father had two daughters of which as soon as we married the surname of Cooley was gone in his line. I had four daughters. My sister had one daughter and three sons. Gone again. I named two of my daughters last name of Cooley. If I had a son I would do the same, out of respect for my father. This is a census year and I hope my Cooley line will find me through my two daughters. thats all for now, Maureen -----Original Message----- From: Sidhe 1 <sidhe1@hotmail.com> To: COOLEY-L@rootsweb.com <COOLEY-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Friday, June 16, 2000 6:55 AM Subject: Re: [Cooley] Looking for Bridgett >Hello, >Can anyone tell me who Bridgett Cooley was? >She married Capt.
