Leslie: I have no information on the above Thomas Cooley, but the name Ketchum caught my eye. My great grandfather William Ketchum Miller was born in Clark County, Illinois in 1853. He married Phoebe Jane Cooley who was born in Douglas County, Illinois in 1861. She was the daughter of Isaac Cooley and Caroline Lounsbury. Do you know anything about the Ketchum name. I have been unable to find out the connection with the Ketchum name, but when a parent throws in a middle name like Ketchum there is usually a family connection somewhere.
