Two brothers, Charles S Cooley, and James H Cooley in this line of Cooley, married sisters, Esther and Hannah Thompson, daughters of William Thompson. These brothers and their families went from Lincoln County Kentucky to Lincoln County Tennessee, settling for a time in this area. Both brothers had fairly large families. One of the Cooley brothers, Charles S Cooley moved on into Alabama settling in Pickens and Tuscaloosa County Alabama. Later his son James H Cooley -Cowley, named after the uncle James H Cooley-Cowley moved and settled in Grand Cane Louisiana. Anyone researching this line??
