The Web site now includes 20,684 names and 19,047 direct descendants. more importantly, I was able to enter and corroborate about 2500 dates of birth and death along with lineage. I have marked the source carefully. If there was a conflict with earlier data, I have included both. Please check your particular line and let me know of any problems. After reading through it I realized that I have made a VERY VERY EMBARRASSING mistake! My Jacob Alfred isn't a Cooley at all!!! He is a DODSON who married a Cooley. Sarah Louella, daughter of William and Elizabeth Jones Cooley to be exact. I have had good ol' Jake on my mind for a while now, I guess and just jumped at the name Alfred. This must mean I'm on too many lists or really need to take a vacation from genealogy. I'm not sure which, but I think I will take my red face and go rest for a while now. <grin> Thanks again. -- Diane Scannell Wichita, KS dscannell@kscable.com http://sikes-sykesfamilies.rootsweb.com Rootsweb Sponsor and Proud Donor

    2. Diane, don't feel embarrassed. I know just how you feel when you think you see something you have been looking for so long. I have been trying to find out who Alfred Cooley's parents are for about five years and is still up against that brickwall. However, where was Sarah Louella and her father William Cooley from? Did they live in AL? If so, could you give me some dates and locations? Thanks, John
