Many places don't interlibrary loan their genealogy collections, but some will. Have you checked with your local libraries???? Additionally this and a supplement to the book are both available to purchase in "photoduplicate" from Higginson Book Company for $149.00 and $23.00 respectively. I have purchased two different genealogies from Higginson (paying an extra $10 each for hard bound) and can tell you the quality is superb. Try their website at http://www.higginsonbooks.com I know that we genealogists don't usually have a large budget for our passion, but sometimes these things are worth it. If this is a major part of your family history, I think you can't go wrong with a purchase like this. 1. Abraham Cooley and Sarah Reeder
    2. Dear Lists, This couple is one of my last brick walls. I have a Abraham Cooley, b. abt 1750, England, died between 1816-1820 in Grayson Co., Va. He married abt. 1769/1773 in Carroll Co.,Va. He married a Sarah Reeder, b. abt. 1752, Carroll Co.,Va. ???? In one book I got on interlibrary loan the only thing it says is that Sarah Reeder was possibly a young French girl. This is all I know of this couple and I assume the dates are within the ballpark but places are questionable. I I have Abraham Cooley's father as a Peter Cooley, b. England, came to America on the ship Planter in 1745/6 and settled in Frederick Co.,(Winchester) Va. Abraham and Sarah also had a son named Peter, b. 1781 (1775-85) in Grayson Co.,Va. and he married a Mary Hanks, 1806, Grayson Co.,Va. Can anyone help me on these two people??? Sarah Reeder has been the elusive one and any ideas on how to trace her or figure out where she came from???? Thanks in advance, Judy (Alias IBFinnJenny@hotmail.com)

    3. Hello, I recently was researching in Norwich , NY. At the Otis Family History Room I found two pages of the Benjamin Cooley line from the M.E. Cooley book, 1941. They were in a family folder. Cooley line: Nathan(5), Capt. Luke(4), Eliakim Jr.(3), Eliakim(2), Benjamin(1) Gen #5: Nathan Cooley, b. Jan 19, 1745/46 at Somers CT, d. 1803, Somers CT. m. 20 Nov 1770, Mary Ladd of Norwich CT. They had 14 children. Child # 10 was Mary, born Dec. 10, 1783. -- (Previous dau. Mary1773-1774) Are there records in the book that show who this Mary Cooley married? I am looking for a Mary(Polly) Cooley who married Erastus Betts in 1810. Erastus' parents, Zophar and Jane Warren Betts were both born in Sharon CT. I appreciate help anyone can give. Thank you. 3. Maureen, I have scanned the 12 pages of the COOLEY GENEALOGY, by Mortimer E. COOLEY, printed in 1941, that concern DANIEL COOLEY, son of Benjamim COOLEY. If you like, I can send them to you as attachments, readable in any WORD format. Right now, I don't have time to go over them and correct the obvious errors that the OCR scanner has made in reading them. But if these are what you are searching for, I will be glad to correct them at a later date. I will send another e-mail with more attachments, if I hear from you concerning this note. The attachments will start with page 445, in my next e-mail. 3. Jerlene, Do you have any approximate dates? The Cooley genealogy is a very big book and has several "Johns'" listed. I found an obituary notice for a Levi J. that lists two brothers, John B. and George P. of Brockport, NY. He died Nov. 21, 1934 The Cooley Genealogy book, I inherited from my grandmother, published in 1941. I believe there is a Cooley Family Association of America, at least there used to be as my grandmother belonged to it back in the 70's. Maybe someone on the list can help with an address and the possibility of obtaining the genealogy.
