You may have missed the following in Somebody's Links. If you are interested in receiving scans of these pictures, please contact Sylviasa@aol.com with your request. o I have several studio photographs of COOLEYS and SEYMOURS and would love to send scans of them to any descendants of those families. -- One photo is of Adeline Louise SEYMOUR COOLEY and her three children taken about 1880 in Bay City, Michigan. -- Another, also taken in Bay City, is of the three COOLEY children with a lady who probably is their grandmother. I assume she is a COOLEY as she is not the SEYMOUR grandmother. In this picture, the grandmother is seated in a chair with the little boy in her lap, one child seated on the arm of the chair, and another on a stool. A large French poodle is lying at their feet. This photo was taken about 1881. -- I have a photo of Edgar COOLEY, whom I believe to be Adeline Louise SEYMOUR COOLEY's husband, which was taken in St. Louis, Missouri, but his name and Bay City, Michigan are written in pencil on the back. -- I also have several photographs of Edith SEYMOUR GATES and her children, Howard and Don Francis GATES. These photos were taken circa 1912-1917, possibly in St. Louis, Missouri or Pasadena, California. The city is not listed but the photographer signed the photo, Sid WHITING. This SEYMOUR line is originally from Ithaca, New York. Adeline Louise SEYMOUR COOLEY is the paternal aunt of Edith SEYMOUR GATES. Reposting for the new year and new members. Searching for ancestors of John A. Cooley and Margaret Farrell, both born Ireland ca. 1800. First two children born in Ireland, Patrick ca 1828; John A. ca 1831. In New York City by 1833 where James, Bridget, Mary, Michael, Thomas and Andrew followed. Andrew a batchelor; Mary remained single. No knowledge of Bridget or James. Patrick, John, Michael, Thomas all raised their families in Manhattan and those children remained or headed a bit further north to the Dobbs Ferry, NY area. Glad to share with other researchers. Best wishes to all, Donna
