3 January 2009 Visalia Times Delta Visalia, California Glade L. Cookus, born March 7, 1942 passed away, December 15,2008 at the age of 66, after a long battle with lung cancer. Known to his friends and family as "Buck" he will always be remembered for his sense of humor and quick witt. In his earlier days he played semi pro baseball and excelled as an athlete. Buck was an avid golfer and shared his love for the game with his family & friends. He will be best remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend. His loss will be felt deeply by those who loved him. He is survived in death by his son & daughter, Dennis Cookus and Lori Ransom of Parker, CO and two daughters from CA, Tiffany Cookus & Rachel Amato. Family and friends will join together for a celebration of life, to be held at the Cookus residence on January 10th, from 1:00-4:00pm. Published in the Visalia Times-Delta on 1/3/2009
