When my husband and I were engaged in 1961, Chicago relatives (we lived in New Jersey and were visiting) took us out to celebrate the event at the Edgewater Beach Hotel (I think). A souvenir of the occasion is a champagne coupe (or cocktail glass) with a floral design pressed or etched onto the glass. I am hoping that someone remembers such glassware and can confirm that the dinner was in the Marine Room (or other restaurant) at the Edgewater Beach Hotel.
