    2. Okay all you latin scholars, can someone interpret Jacobus. Now before you say that's Jacob, I know that much. However, I recall a discussion about Jacob being a form of James. I have dilemma. I have been finding a few of my lost Kerr kids through the church baptismal records at Family Search. I have found an Elizabeth, supposedly married a Jacobus Birmingham and it is all in Latin. The date in the entry coincides with a marriage to a sister born a few years later. It might be the same person, but I have to investigate it further. The more I find out about my Kerr line, the more questions I have. Sent from Xfinity Mobile

    3. This link (http://comp.uark.edu/~mreynold/recint7.htm#J)  concurs with the discussion you cited with Jacobus indeed translating to Jacob or James.   ________________________________ From: "wm.karr@comcast.net" <wm.karr@comcast.net> To: IRISH-IN-CHICAGO@rootsweb.com; COOK-CO-IL@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, January 31, 2012 3:17 PM Subject: [COOK-CO-IL] latin Okay all you latin scholars, can someone interpret Jacobus.
