    2. Ancestry has the information until the committee meets. Then, depending on what the committee decides, Ancestry may or may not continue to have access. It comes down to a conflict between those who want to trace their ancestors and those who are very worried about identity theft. Seems like a good compromise would be to withhold information on deaths for 10 or 20 years. Diane

    3. Actually, one of the bills before Congress will completely suppress the SSDI from the public. There is no room for any compromise in that Bill.
