I have a new brick wall: Katherine Goetzelman(n) was buried at Waldheim Cemetery 31 May 1882, at age 56, so born abt 1826. There is no burial card & no headstone. I cannot find a death record on familysearch. A friend searched her ancestry & came up empty handed. Googling the name brought up nothing. My guess is that she is a sister-in-law of my gr gr grandmother Barbara Goetzelmann Schaetzlein. Or, if Barbara was not married when she had her first 2 children in Oberaltertheim Germany, Barbara's maiden name could have been Goetzelmann, making Katherine her sister or sister-in-law. The first burial in the Waldheim plot was Michael Schaetzlein (d. 1876), the next was Katherine. Michael is the 2nd husband of Barbara, so Katherine was technically not related to him. I have plenty of info on the entire Goetzelmann/Schaetzlein family, except this newly discovered Katherine Goetzelman(n). Can someone with access to the Daily News or Trib obits look up an obit for Katherine (or Catherine) Goetzelman(n)? I won't be surprised if there is none, but I need to cover all the bases.
