Kim, The name of the church appears to be St. Brendan which was located at 67th Street and Racine Avenue. St. Brendan was closed and merged in September 1988 with St. Bernard Parish. All records are at the Archdiocese of Chicago Archives & Records Center, 711 West Monroe Street, Chicago, Illinois 60661. Telephone: (312) 831-0711. Since you are familiar with the digital images at familysearch.org, go to the database: Illinois, Chicago, Catholic Church Records, 1833-1925. This is a browsable (not indexed as yet) database. In the window with the list of all the United States databases, scroll down to the Illinois, Chicago, Catholic Church Records, 1833-1925 hyperlink and click on that. Another window will open with a hyperlink that says something about Browse This Database. Click on that hyperlink. Another window will open up which gives you a listing of all the churches in this database. Scroll down to St. Brendan and click on that hyperlink. Another window will open with a list of the various records that are available. Click on a hyperlink to open the list of Baptisms or other sacramental records and start clicking through the images until you find something of interest. It is like using a microfilm reader without the microfilm. Hi, Can someone help me read the name of the church referenced at the bottom of this document? I'm hoping it might lead me to the church my relatives attended. I'm hoping church records might help me continue my research. https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-11869-76055-30?cc=1463145 Thanks!
