    1. [COOK-CO-IL] Donald CLARK and family from Edinburgh, Scotland
    2. Margaret Daniels
    3. Dear List My great uncle Donald CLARK left Edinburgh in 1904. All the family knew about him was that he was in Chicago and had two Children James and Mary. Thanks to this list I was able to find that he sailed from Glasgow to New York on the SS Astoria on May 26 1904 and that his final destination was Chicago. The following year Helen ADAMS (Nellie) sailed on the SS Astoria to join him at 348N Adams Street, Chicago,Illinois. They were married in Chicago (I presume - although I have no record of the marriage) and their daughter Mary F. CLARK was born in 1908 and their son James Adams CLARK was born on May 16 1910. Donald died on October 4 1952 (I have the Chicago Tribune obit.) and Helen died on December 31 1963 (I have the obit.) Their son James Adams CLARK married Mildred BEDNARCZYK and had 3 children - Mary Jane (married name HERRMANN), Jacqueline (married name HAHN) and Claudia. James died in 1958 (I have the obit.) I believe Mary F. CLARK did not marry. I wrote to the address mentioned on her mother's death certificate 5108N Marmora Avenue, Cook County, Chicago, Illinois but did nor receive a reply. Can anyone suggest how I can obtain any further information - my aim is to make contact with any living family members. There was a free trial of Ancestry at the beginning of this month and I found an obituary for Mary Francis CLARK.September 27 1992. I wonder if anyone has the full transcript of this obituary? I suspect it might not be the right person as I wondered if the F in her name would be FRASER - the maiden name of her maternal grandmother. If anyone could help me in any way I would be very grateful. Thank you Margaret Daniels Northumberland England
